There is so much to talk about thanks to DJT and his cohorts. Well, one cohort in particular today, billionaire Commerce Secretary Howard William Lutnick. 

Last week Lutnick said this (paraphrase): my mother-in-law is 94 years old. If she did not get her social security check one month she wouldn't say a word, would not complain. She'd just wait until next month. The people who'd complain are fraudsters. What a bald-faced lie! Let's keep it real shall we! His mother-in-law wouldn't miss a beat. 

FACT: 97 percent of older adults (aged 60 to 89) either receive Social Security or will receive it, according to Social Security Administration estimates. The near universality of Social Security brings many important advantages. It provides a foundation of retirement protection for people at all earnings levels.

  • Social Security as a Primary Income Source:

Social Security benefits are the largest source of income for most retirees, with research indicating that for 4 in 10 retirees, Social Security provided at least 50% of their income, and for 1 in 7, at least 90%. 

So, is the secretary woefully ignorant to the truth? NO! He is following the Trump Administration script.

  To all who may have forgotten what they learned in High School Civics Class: be reminded by the image above. There has been a move by the Trump administration to move from democracy to an autocratic form of government. It’s obvious by DJT’s executive orders signed with his felt pen. Birthright Citizenship (didn’t work), removal of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in several federal agencies and colleges (working in some agencies but not in others), taking over colleges that have bowed down to his demands, taking over the Kennedy Center and much more.
